Hi and welcome to a new online column that will feature a local business each month. This month I am going to feature Istanbul Grill, a new Mediterranean restaurant located on Main Street in Stroudsburg.

My wife and I had the pleasure of dining at Istanbul Grill a couple of days ago and was greeted warmly by Sofia, who is a co-owner with her husband, who is also the chef. My wife and I started with a shepherds salad and hummus with pita bread. I ordered a lentil soup as well. For the main course, my wife ordered the chicken kebab over yogurt and pita and I had adana kebab over yogurt and pita, which is grounded beef. Each was served over a bed of pilaf rice.

The food was excellent from start to finish. The portions were plentiful. Everything from presentation to ambiance was there and the price was very affordable. The only thing missing was the belly dancer and Sofia promises that she will be coming soon. HOORAY for Istanbul Grill.
