The MLS is the Multiple Listing Service. The Multiple Listing Service allows Realtors® to submit their listings to this service which allows for all other brokers and agents to preview, see and possibly sell the listings and allows for the listings to be seen by more of the public. Homes that are For Sale By Owner do not appear on the MLS and that makes them less likely to attract buyers to them.
